What children’s craft supplies will you need for an Easter themed craft session?

Beads are great for children’s Easter crafts – especially when they are in Easter or pastel colours.
Feathers are popular for many children’s crafts but feathers in Easter colours make a great addition to an Easter craft box.
Foam shapes are supplied as foam bases (which are large shapes you use as a base for craft projects), self adhesive foam shapes (i.e. peel and stick) or standard shapes. Whichever you are looking for, we have a great range in our Easter craft shop.
Foam sheets – available in A4 sheets, A3 sheets, glitter, plain, patterned and sticky backed foam.
Pipe cleaners, available in tinsel, red, green and white colours – great for Easter crafts.

If you are catering for a group of 24 kids, for example, you would have a wider choice if you also consider buying four packs of 6 kits. Not all of our crafts are available in all pack sizes as some appeal more to smaller groups and others to larger groups or home crafters.

Crafty Step by Step Instructions

Let's get cracking!!

1. Get an adult to draw a circle for the tummy of each styrofoam chick before the start of the project.
2. Apply a good couple of coats of paint on the styrofoam eggs (which are quite paint thirsty) and leave to dry.
3. Cut beak and feet shapes from the foam and stick to the egg with tacky glue.
4. Cut the pipe cleaners into pieces to make the wings.
Top Tip: The pipe cleaners can be pushed directly into the egg but would be best fixed with glue for a stronger bond.
5. Add two googly woogly eyes!

Feathers can also be glued instead of pipe cleaners for wings or tail.

Hama Ideas for Easter

If you haven't tried Hama yet, Easter may be a good time as there are a number of Easter themed boards.

In case you aren't familiar with Hama, the re-usable shaped pegboards are covered with coloured beads and then fused (melted) together using an iron and ironing paper. The first part by the crafters and the second part by an adult!

The Hama Easter and Spring boards include a chick, rabbit, egg, butterfly and flower.
