How to Make Pom Poms

Cut two large circles of card, each with a hole in the centre.

From a ball of wool cut four long lengths of the same size. 

Wrap the four strands of wool around both card discs, feeding through the middle. 

Tip: You may find a large darning needle useful, although not necessary. 

Keep winding through, making sure it’s even all the way around the disc, until the hole in the centre is too small or you run out of wool!

Using sharp scissors, with the point between the card discs, gradually snip through all of the wool around the circumference. 

Do NOT remove the discs yet.

Then, tightly tie an extra length of wool between the two card discs, around the centre of the pom pom, leaving a hanging cord if needed. 

Finally, cut off the card discs.
