Make Your Own Googly Eyed Easter Chicks
Don't you just love the look of these googly-eyed Easter chicks! These chicks make a fab Easter craft idea for kids at home or for a childrens group craft activity. An ideal children's craft project to keep the kids amused during the Easter holidays.
The tweetest crafty chick so far this Easter!
Craft Supplies to Buy
Styrofoam Eggs - 70mm or 55mm will work
Yellow Acrylic Paint
White Acrylic Paint
Paint Brush
10mm Googly Eyes
Yellow or Orange Foam
Yellow Pipe Cleaner
Tacky Glue
Scissors
Crafty Step by Step Instructions
Let's get cracking!!
1. Get an adult to draw a circle for the tummy of each styrofoam chick before the start of the project.
2. Apply a good couple of coats of paint on the styrofoam eggs (which are quite paint thirsty) and leave to dry.
3. Cut beak and feet shapes from the foam and stick to the egg with tacky glue.
4. Cut the pipe cleaners into pieces to make the wings.
Top Tip: The pipe cleaners can be pushed directly into the egg but would be best fixed with glue for a stronger bond.
5. Add two googly woogly eyes!
SO TWEET!
Feathers can also be glued instead of pipe cleaners for wings or tail.
This craft can be adapted to make penguins or robins at Christmas time.
