How to Make Pom Pom Easter Bunnies
Are you making pom pom Easter bunnies with children? If you have made them before then you will know that they make a great Easter craft project for kids.

Bunny Body or No Bunny Body?
Pom pom Easter bunnies are generally made using a body and a separate head. If you are doing this, you would be best using a 50mm white pom pom for the body and a 35mm white pom pom for the head. These are in far better proportion than a 35mm and a 25mm pom pom - if you use these they do end up with the head appearing too small.
However, you could make these using a large pom as the body and head combined - as we do with our Easter bunny crafty bug kits. This helps when you are crafting on a tighter budget but it does reduce the effect of the finished craft and also reduces the crafting time. 35mm white pom poms work well for this.
On a 35mm pom pom, either as a body or a head, you will find that a 10mm googly eye and a 7mm pink pom pom nose work best.
Let's turn now to some simple tips to help you make a large Easter bunny, with a separate head and body.

Start by cutting your bunny feet from white foam. These should be roughly heart shaped with the bottom missing off the heart.

Attach the 50mm white pom pom to the feet with tacky glue, then the 35mm white pom pom on top of the larger one.

Don't forget to attach the 12mm white pom pom for the tail.....

Use white pipe cleaner sections to make the ears and then attach these using tacky glue

Then cut the teeth from white foam, the carrot from orange foam and the top of the carrot from green foam, attaching these with tacky glue

Cut up some small sections of skinny white pipe cleaners for the whiskers and attach these, together with the eyes and the pom pom nose.

Hoppity, hoppity, hop - all done!

Tacky glue - this is the glue that we recommend for all pom pom craft projects.
Adaptations for Your Easter Bunny Craft
You could replace the pipe cleaner ears with white foam ears, perhaps with pink foam set inside them. Alternatively you could use pink tissue paper on the back of the white pipe cleaner ears so that they show pink in the inside from the front.
Instead of skinny white pipe cleaner whiskers you could use finely cut white foam.
Pretty Pastel Easter Bunny Crafts
You don't have to stick with white Easter bunnies.

The best sized pom pom to use as the body for these is a 35mm wide pom, you would then use 10mm eyes and a 7mm nose.
