Who are we?
Crafty Capers Ltd offers a fully integrated craft and party shopping experience, with our sites all sharing the same shopping basket and checkout process. Therefore, you can buy all of your supplies and kits for both adult and group crafting online and in one place, along with your children's party supplies.
We hope that you find everything you are looking for and that you have a pleasurable shopping experience with us.
www.littlecraftybugs.co.uk was our first shop, supplying children's craft kits and supplies for both home and group craft sessions.
The vast majority of our kids craft kits are exclusive to us, including our unique Crafty Bug pom pom kits. We also bespoke craft kits and collections for children's events and adults too!
www.craftybugs.co.uk is the adult craft shop within the Crafty Capers group of online shops. The shop includes card making, scrapbooking and other paper craft supplies, along with many other craft supplies for adult crafting.
We like to consider that we offer a modern range of craft supplies that will appeal to most adult crafters.
www.littlepartybugs.co.uk is our party supplies and craft party shop.
Not only do we sell an extensive range of themed craft party supplies, we also sell everything else you will need to make your children's party a great success.
www.craftsformen.co.uk is our male themed paper craft shop. We cover all popular men's themes, including football crafts, golf crafts, cricket crafts, rugby crafts and many, many more.
The first ever shop dedicated purely to male themed paper crafts - no doubt the concept will be seen elsewhere in time!
Contacting Us
We do not publish a telephone number, as we endeavour to give a swift and meaningful response to all email enquiries as quickly as possible. This is generally by return of mail, both inside and outside "standard office hours". Over many years trading we have found that this suits the very significant majority of our customers and this works extremely well for most people, although we appreciate that "one size doesn't fit all".
When contacting us, to enable us to give you a full and meaningful response first time, please provide full details of your enquiry in your contact with us - this will ensure that the timely responses that we send you are also helpful!

Postage - UK (including Channel Islands)
We offer a number of UK postage options, as follows:
Standard delivery - this is despatched within 48 hours of order by Royal Mail '48' post (previously 2nd class). This is charged at a rate of 10% of your order value, with a minimum of £2.95 and a maximum of £5. This is intended to cover the cost of Royal Mail postage only, not packaging, time etc. A recorded delivery option is also available.
First class delivery - this is despatched next working day using Royal Mail '24' post (previously 1st class). This is charged at the standard delivery rate above, plus an additional £1. A recorded delivery option is also available.
Heavy Parcels - where you have chosen one of the above postage options and you have heavy goods we may send these using a courier, normally UK Mail. This will be sent with a comparable or better speed of delivery than the option you have chosen.
Priority delivery - this is sent next working day using the Royal Mail "Special Delivery - Next Day" service. Any order placed prior to 24:00hrs today will be mailed tomorrow (we have no post collections on Saturday and Sunday) and will be with you by 13:00hrs the following working day. Please note that Saturdays, Sundays and bank holidays are not considered to be delivery days under this service The cost of this is based on the weight of the items that you add to your shopping cart - the heavier the items, the more this service will cost. This is a signed-for service. Certain remote locations within mainland UK and some UK islands have longer delivery timescales under this service. If you are in one of these remote areas, please check the Royal Mail website for delivery details.
Postage - International
International delivery is made using the Royal Mail Airmail service. The cost is based on parcel weight and destination. The checkout process will calculate this automatically for you, based on the country of delivery. Airmail parcels are sent within 48 hours of order and delivery times will vary from country to country. Royal Mail state (although this is not guaranteed and does vary widely) that after despatch it "usually takes three more days to reach Western Europe, five days to reach Eastern Europe and seven days to the rest of the world". These are working days and are an indication ONLY.
Royal Mail Airmail has a maximum parcel weight of 2kg. Therefore, if your goods weigh more than this amount, you may receive your purchases in multiple parcels and some packs of heavier goods may have been split to keep the parcels within this weight limit.
Please note that we DO NOT send to overseas PO box addresses, please do not complete an order if this is part of your requirements for an overseas order.
Please also note that we DO NOT send to Italy, in view of the atrocious level of postal service in Italy and the significant proportion of delays and losses to this country, sorry.
Postage - BFPO
We charge UK mail rates for BFPO addresses.
However, priority delivery and first class delivery options are NOT available to BFPO - please do not choose these.
The Royal Mail BFPO mail service has a maximum parcel weight of 2kg. Therefore, if your goods weigh more than this amount, you may receive your purchases in multiple parcels and some packs of heavier goods may have been split to keep the parcels within this weight limit.
How to Shop
All orders should be completed on line using our secure checkout process.
Please add all items to your shopping basket and then click the "your basket" icon to start the checkout process.
If you wish to remove any items, simply change the quantity to zero and click update.
If you are unable to complete your order online, please print our order form, completing this and sending this with your payment to the address shown. Alternatively, you can copy and paste your shopping basket into an email and send it to us at info@craftycapers.co.uk, along with your telephone number and best time to call. We will then give you a call to complete this.
We do not have retail premises to accomodate personal callers.
Payment Methods
Accepted payment methods are:
Debit/credit card
Paypal (other than e-cheques)
UK sterling cheque
UK sterling postal order
For our joint protection, we arrange card processing services though Paypoint, which supports debit and credit card payments. We also accept payment by Paypal. Both organisations are reputable online payment companies, both providing secure payment services. This means that ALL card and Paypal payments are made using a secure server, for your security, they are not processed within our trading site.
We also accept cheque and postal order payments. Please complete your order online, printing your order when prompted. You can then forward your cheque or postal order, payable to Crafty Capers Ltd, to us at 15 Fleets Lane Industrial Estate, Willis Way, Poole BH15 3SU.
Please note that failed cheques incur a £15 charge by our bankers. Therefore, where chequepayments fail, this charge will be added to your total bill and we reserve the right to add a reasonable handling charge to this cost.

Payment on Account
For large institutions and government bodies, we are prepared to release goods with payment made on account. If you wish to order on this basis, you can follow one of the following two processes:
1. Enter full details of your order within our site and choose the cheque payment option, printing your order when prompted. You will then need to email us with your order number, from an official email address and showing your position in the organisation, confirming that the invoice will be discharged by cheque or BACS within 30 days of receipt of the goods. Or,
2. Send us by mail or email details of your order or your purchase/requisition order. Please ensure that you include all delivery and contact details. If emailing, this must come from an official email address and showing your position in the organisation, confirming that the invoice will be discharged by cheque or BACS within 30 days of receipt of the goods.
Orders made on this basis can only be posted to business premises of the organisation making the order, for security reasons.
PLEASE NOTE: The minimum first order value for a "payment on account" transaction is £30 excluding postage. We are happy to accept lower value "purchase order" transactions from returning customers. Unfortunately, we have had to introduce this minimum figure in view of the amount of work involved in securing payment on many first orders of this nature.
If you wish to pay on account and this process does not fit your business procedures, please email us with further details before you complete your purchase - we will do our best to help.
For charitable organisations, we are also prepared to release goods with payment made on account. If you wish to order on this basis, you can follow the following process:

Despatch

On orders where payments have been made by cheque, the items will be despatched as soon as the cheque has cleared, including Paypal e-cheques. Please note that you are able to pay by various credit and debit cards or Paypal electronically within the checkout process.
Where postal orders are received, we will despatch the items within 48 hours using the service chosen.
Discount & Voucher Codes
Crafty Capers Ltd, www.littlecraftybugs.co.uk, www.littlepartybugs.co.uk, www.craftybugs.co.uk and www.papercraftsformen.co.uk do not participate in any discount code or voucher code schemes. Our best price is the always offered on our website.
Bulk & Multiple Purchases
We ensure that our prices are kept at a minimum level for all customers, whether buying one or many of the same item, for large orders or smaller ones. Therefore, we do not normally offer reduced prices on multiple purchases.
Please be aware that many of our own bespoke children's craft kits are offered in group packs for up to 100 kids. You may find this link helpful.
However, if you would like to make bulk purchases, where you consider lower prices may be appropriate, please feel free to contact us.
We do not sell to the retail trade. Our kits should not be resold, except for fund raising purposes.
Prices
As part of our commitment to always offer highest quality items at the best price, we continually review our prices and flex these accordingly. Any price changes will not affect any orders already being processed.
All prices and transactions are in £sterling.
VAT
Crafty Capers Ltd are VAT registered, our VAT number is 917 5478 92.
A VAT invoice is automatically provided to all customers, you do not need to request this.
On overseas orders, where VAT is applicable, you will pay the VAT in the normal way and reclaim this if eligible as part of your own VAT return. We do not supply goods without charging VAT.
On overseas orders, where VAT is not applicable, please proceed as normal, including VAT. Immediately after you have completed your order, please email us with your order number and we will immediately refund the VAT using the same payment method. However, after the goods have been mailed we will be unable to refund the VAT, it is essential that you contact us with your order number as soon as you have paid. If paying by cheque, please pay excluding the VAT.
Stock Availability
Our stock control programme is managed to enable you to see the number of items we hold in stock of each item. You will be unable to order more items than we hold in stock. This stock availability is checked when the items are added to your shopping basket, and again when completing your order.
In the unlikely event that an item is out of stock, we will contact you by email or telephone before despatching the balance of your order. We do not send alternative items in these circumstances. If we are unable to contact you, we will refund the overpayment.
Age
All crafts are NOT suitable for children under three years of age due to small parts.
Based on our extensive experience, we do not recommend ages for our own kits. We have found that this differs widely, dependant on the ability and patience of the crafters, not necessarily their age.
Therefore, please consider the age and ability of the intended crafters carefully before completing your purchases.
Safety
All of our crafts are unsuitable for children under three years of age.
Plastic bags, glue, scissors and other items we sell, do expose the crafters and those younger than them to risks.
Certain party goods, including balloons, blowers and party bags also require supervision with young children, as they may cause suffocation or choking.
Please ensure that the appropriate supervision and warnings are given.
Delivery Address & Gift Messages
We are able to deliver to an address other than your home address. The full order must be mailed to a single address. You must complete a separate order and pay the relevant postage cost for each mailing address.
Where the delivery address differs to your own, you will be offered the opportunity to include a gift message in the checkout process. This is a printed document, with your chosen words and included inside the parcel.
Additional Items
If you wish to add items to your order after this has been completed, please email us. We are happy to add additional items into your order and will only charge the proportionate additional postage charge. This must be completed before the order is despatched.
Alternatively, please complete a second order and then email us - we will then refund any overpaid postage.
Completion of a Contract
A binding contract will exist as soon as an accepted payment method is received by us.
Where goods are to be released, pending receipt of a payment, the contract will come into effect at the time the goods are released.
In circumstances where crafts are packed to a specific order, the contract will come into effect at the time the buyer instructs Crafty Capers to proceed, irrespective of whether any payment has been made.
Cancelling an Order
Prepaid orders can be cancelled prior to despatch. Please email us to cancel your order. We will confirm receipt and cancellation.
Orders for crafts made to a customer's own specifications cannot be cancelled after a contract is deemed to have come into effect.
Order Problems
We must be notified immediately upon parcel receipt of any short deliveries, faults or breakages.
We will ask for ALL faulty goods to be returned for inspection.
Returns & Exchanges
Goods can be returned in the original undamaged packaging within fourteen days of receipt, for a refund. Please ensure you include your original order number with your returns - this will be a five digit number.
Postage costs for the return of items will not be refunded.
Seasonal goods (e.g. Christmas, Easter & Halloween) goods will not be accepted as returns after the season has passed.
Any craft kits returned will incur a 15% restocking fee against the refund, as these need to be unpacked, checked and repacked for sale. This cannot be waived.
Any errors, omissions or damage must be notified to us immediately upon receipt of your parcel.
Goods made to a customer's own specifications cannot be returned, unless faulty.
Where goods are returned, please ensure you obtain a certificate of posting from the Post Office, which is provided free of charge.
Refunds are normally processed within 7-10 days of receipt of goods.
The statements above apply in addition to any other statutory rights.
Where an exchange is required, you will need to return the goods, as above. You will also need to complete and pay for a new order for the alternative items you require, including the relevant postage. These will be despatched in accordance with our normal despatch times. Your refund will then be completed upon receipt of the unwanted goods - see above.
Parcels Not Received
UK
Claims for loss in transit will not be considered until 15 working days has elapsed from the date of despatch. This is in line with Royal Mail guidelines.
Royal Mail have now introduced "leave with a neighbour", they should leave you a card advising which neighbour they have left this with but this often not the case or it gets caught up with junk mail.
We always ask you to check with your usual/local sorting office before you allow 15 working days to expire. This can be a fruitful exercise, where, as suggested above, perhaps cards have not been left or have been caught up in junk mail etc delivered at the same time.
International
Claims for loss in transit will not be considered until 25 working days have elapsed from the date of despatch. This is in line with Royal Mail guidelines.
Please bear in mind that some mail being sent outside Europe may be subject to customs checks and suffer from the resultant minor delays.
Refunds are issued as soon as Royal Mail have completed their enquiries, Royal Mail are likely to contact you to assist with this.
The refund will include the cost of the items purchased. Royal Mail does not refund overseas postage costs on failed deliveries in view of the dependency on other mail organisations around the world.
All
We must be notified within 21 calendar days of placing your order if goods are not received. Although we are always happy to advise on despatch details etc prior to this time, we will be unable to meet any claims for non-receipt of goods after this time has elapsed.
Compliments, Suggestions and Complaints
We are always pleased to receive positive feedback. We are especially interested to hear your ideas and suggestions. If we utilise one of your suggestions, we will provide you with free samples of this kit/gift and a selection of other items from our range.
In the unlikely event that you have a complaint about our goods or service, please contact us immediately. We will always do everything we can to resolve this to our mutual satisfaction.
Data Protection
By purchasing from us you will agree to be included on our email mailing list. We only email with regard to our own items. If you do not wish to receive emails on our products, please confirm this during the checkout process. You will be given the opportunity whenever we mail to remove your name from our mailing list.

Charity Donations
This year, we are delighted to have made our annual craft donation to Diverse Abilities Plus. The charity supports children and adults who have physical and learning disabilities in Poole, Bournemouth & Dorset, generally by forming life time partnerships of support.
We choose a charity each year and wil be unable to help any other charities during the year - apologies for this but we are sure that you will appreciate the reason for this.

Caring for the Environment
One of the fundamentals of our business is that we do not provide our bespoke and hand packed kits in expensive throw away packaging - just enough packaging to get the items to you in a perfect condition.
Wherever possible we choose environmentally friendly, UK sourced and recycled materials for our kits, craft essentials and also for mailing/packaging materials.
You will find that we reuse cardboard boxes, which we have received goods in. This is partly due to economics and partly to reduce waste and the need to recycle or add to landfill.
We recycle all materials possible, including packaging materials, waste paper and card, cartridges and other business waste.

Are you having problems with your shopping cart?
We value your order and your custom.
Some Mac users do have occasional problems with the checkout process on our site. This only applies to a small number of Mac users and is currently being investigated by our web developers.
Further, our shoppping cart uses a pop-up, purely to show you that an item has been added to your shopping cart - this is the only pop-up in use on our site. If you have pop-ups disabled you will be unable to add items to your shopping cart - you will need to enable pop-ups to add items into your shopping basket and complete checkout. So, if when you add an item to your cart a pop up does not appear in the middle of your screen to confirm it has been added, the item has not been added as you have pop-ups turned off.
In addition, our site uses cookies to provide a complete shopping experience, specifically a shopping cart. This is normal practice for sites of this nature. On rare occasions this does cause a problem.
If you are having problems completing your order, please send an email to us at info@craftycapers.co.uk copying and pasting your shopping basket into the body of the email.

Has your shopping basket just vanished? If so, it's likely that there's been a "blip" in either your server or ours. The easiest way to get this back is to try to add another item into the basket or just click on the "your basket" logo at the top of the page.
