Sunflower Treasure Chest Favour Boxes

Sunflowers brighten up the natural look of corrugated brown treasure chests perfectly. These favour boxes would look brilliant on a party or wedding table this summer.

We used two sizes of treasure chest for these ideas 100mm by 75mm by 70mm and 130mm by 90mm by 95mm. The larger box would be lovely as a gift box whereas the smaller boxes are the perfect size for table favours.

On all of the boxes we used silicone glue to stick the sunflowers on. The larger box uses the biggest sunflower head from the mixed pack and the smaller two use heads cut from the sunflower stems.

Card treasure chests are available in a selection of colours, sizes and designs to fit your theme. Our range also includes pillow boxes, square boxes, shaped boxes and printed boxes. Browse our range of card boxes to find your perfect match!

You could also adapt this idea for use with kraft paper bags which are available in a great range of colours and sizes.

  1. We tied a net bow around the lid of the larger box, stuck the sunflower in the centre of the bow and then embellished the box with small self-adhesive jewels.
  2. On the smaller treasure chests, we stuck ribbon loops and pieces into the glue before sticking the sunflower on.
  3. The ribbon on the bumble bee box is stuck inside the box at either end with double sided tape and the ladybirds on the other box are stuck with silicone glue.
  4. Self adhesive jewels are great for paper craft like this as they can be removed fairly easily if put in the wrong place! To create a 3D effect with your jewels, try using foam sticky pads.
